Under the general supervision of Assesses need, administers, and evaluates response to respiratory care procedures such as oxygen therapy and bronchial hygiene therapies such as HHN and PD/CPT. Provides invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilatory support and CPR. Attends high-risk deliveries and evaluates newborns status including intubations when necessary. Performs arterial, capillary, and cord blood draws and analyzed with an Arterial Blood gas instrument. Assist nursing staff with EKG's and Cardiac Heart Disease screening tests. Must have current CA RCP license, BLS, PALS, and NRP certificates.

Required Qualifications:
- Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
- Upon hire: California Respiratory Care Practitioner License Or
- Upon hire: California Temporary Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- Within 90 days of hire National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association
- Within 90 days of hire National Provider PALS - American Heart Association
- 1 year Experience following RCP licensure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Upon hire: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - National Board for Respiratory Care (for all therapists)
- Upon hire: Neonatal Pediatric Specialty (RRT-NPS) - National Board for Respiratory Care
