As an Audiologist, you will provide hearing tests and aids using family-centered care and attention. In this role, you will ensure patients have a comfortable, welcoming and inviting experience throughout the whole process. A calm attitude can make a lasting difference in the lives of these patients every day.

A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM -5:00PM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Provide clinical diagnostic and management services for hearing, balance, and tinnitus disorders/impairment using family-centered care.
  • Provide services in designated clinical space, inpatient hospital space and/or operating room, as needed.
  • Document and maintain accurate records for all services provided to patients.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as inventory, placing POs, ordering devices and supplies.
  • Ensure performance of daily and monthly equipment checks and biological calibrations.
  • Participate in resident education as requested.
  • Provide direct and indirect supervision of student interns and Au.D students, as requested.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Doctorate in Audiology (AuD).
  • Current Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology licensure to practice Audiology
  • Certification of Clinical Competence Audiology (CCC-A) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) within new hire period
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), Supervised Professional Experience (SPE) Year or equivalent
  • Broad knowledge of diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology clinical skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to assist patients with mobility problems.
  • Good hand dexterity to manipulate small objects associated with hearing aids, cochlear implants, etc.
  • Ability to push carts which carry audiology test equipment.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
