Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Patient Care Coordinator in New Hyde Park, NY! This role is onsite. Please read below and with an updated resume for consideration.

Type: Two - month contract, opportunity for extension or fulltime offer

Schedule: Mon, Wed, Thurs 9am to 5pm, Tues 11am to 7pm, Fri 8am to 4pm

Pay: $19.07 Per hour

Specialty: Endocrinology

Responsibilities of the Patient Care Coordinator:

Greets patients, family members and guests with a friendly smile

Assists patients with signing in andpleting registration

Enters and scans patients demographic and insurance information into Epic

Verifies insurance eligibility and benefit information; informs patients of insurance benefits

Collects co-payments and patient balances

Answers iing phone calls in a courteous and prompt manner; directs calls and takes messages

Assists physician and clinical staff by coordinating follow up care for patients; schedules referral appointments for patients and obtains authorization for diagnostic testing

Sends patient records to primary care physician

Assists with other tasks as assigned

Qualifications for the Patient Care Coordinator:

High school education or equivalent experience

Customer service experience and solidputer skills

Medical office experience; Urgent Care experience

Knowledge of insurance carriers and managed care plans

EPIC experience preferred but not required
