Hourly Pay Range: $26.61 - $39.92 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position Highlights: Position: Physical Therapy Assistant II - Out Patient Day Rehab Clinic Location: Rolling Meadows, IL Full time/Part time: Per Diem / hours as needed Hours: Clinic hours are 7:00am-7:30pm Required Travel: No What you will do: Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to treat, and care for patients in assigned area. Implements treatment/care based on the developmental stages of the patient. Interprets verbal and nonverbal communication of the patient. Administers and instructs patients in performance of all aspects of the treatment plan, assessing the effectiveness of treatment using sound clinical judgment and consulting with Physical Therapist in situations that are beyond the assistant's scope of practice. Communicates treatment effects and changes in patient condition to the Physical Therapist. Follows recommendations and modifies treatment appropriately. Prepares and completes all patient records, billing and documentation according to departmental guidelines. Involves the patient, family and caregivers in the plan of care, including post-discharge planning. Conducts patient/family education sessions and provides written home programs in consultation with the Physical Therapist and considering the developmental needs of the patient. Communicates and works in cooperation with physicians, nursing and other hospital staff to provide optimal patient care. May assist with supervision of paraprofessional staff, students and volunteers as directed; delegates tasks and monitors performance of tasks to ensure they are completed correctly. Assists with planning and conducting in service programs (as requested or needed) and participates in staff meetings, rehab conferences and educational programs. Participates in departmental Quality Assurance Program and special assignments as requested. Acts as a resource to all clinical staff in own area of specialty, which may be through direct hands on, monitored, observed consultative approach or constructive approach. Independently manages complex patients and assists staff in handling these patients and adapting treatment program accordingly. What you will need: The completion of an Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA accredited school, or the equivalent Current Illinois licensure or eligibility.
