A full-time opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in an Illinois middle school setting, focusing on a low incidence program. This role involves collaborating with educators and support staff to address the unique communication needs of approximately 20 students.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active Illinois SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) may be considered
- Previous experience with middle school students and low incidence populations is advantageous
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students
- Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Maintain compliance documentation as required
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions
- Implement evidence-based practices to promote student success
