Occupational Therapist (OT) Location: Near Hallsville, Missouri Job Type: Part-Time (3 Days/Week) Assignment Period: Full School Year Start Date: ASAP Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) for a part-time school-based role near Hallsville, MO . This position involves working with students across various grade levels to address their developmental needs. As a part-time therapist (3 days a week), you will have the opportunity to work closely with an interdisciplinary team, providing essential therapy services that help students thrive in the school environment. Primary Responsibilities: Evaluate students' needs and create customized occupational therapy interventions to enhance their educational performance.
Provide direct therapy to students to improve fine motor, visual motor, and sensory processing skills.
Collaborate with teachers, special education professionals, and families to ensure each student receives the support they need.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with specific therapy goals for students.
Document therapy sessions and student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet student needs.
Attend IEP meetings to offer input on therapy-related goals and progress.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Missouri OT licensure (or eligibility for state licensure).
Strong ability to work independently, with excellent time management skills for a part-time schedule.
School experience is an advantage but not required.
Preferred Skills: Knowledge of school-based therapy services and IEP processes, but is not required.
Experience in pediatric occupational therapy is a plus, but not required.
