As a School-Based OT, you will play a vital role in supporting students' development and independence by assessing and addressing their unique needs related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and school participation. Join us in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all our students. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' strengths and challenges related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
Develop individualized treatment plans and evidence-based interventions to help students achieve their educational goals and participate fully in classroom activities.
Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to implement strategies that support students' success in the school environment.
Provide direct one-on-one or group therapy sessions based on students' needs and goals, utilizing creative and engaging activities to enhance learning and skill development.
Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress, assessments, and therapy sessions.
Advise and educate school staff, parents, and caregivers on techniques and modifications to support students' occupational therapy goals in various settings.
Stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of occupational therapy and participate in professional development opportunities.
Requirements: Master's degree in occupational therapy
Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
Previous experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a school-based or pediatric setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet the diverse needs of individual students.
Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to working with students and their families.
