Responsibilities:
Facilitate student participation in classroom activities by addressing fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care skills.
Modify tasks and environments to meet individual student needs.
Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing as required, ensuring a thorough assessment process.
Generate clear and comprehensive reports based on student assessments and observations.
Develop and maintain IEP objectives and accommodations in collaboration with educational staff.
Communicate effectively with parents and peers regarding students' developmental progress and required support.
Qualifications:
Eligibility for or possession of an Illinois state license in Occupational Therapy.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Flexibility and problem-solving abilities to adapt to changing needs.
Experience or knowledge in school-based therapy is preferred.
