Work Schedule and Caseload Management This full-time virtual position involves 35-40 hours per week serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade across multiple school districts. You'll maintain a balanced caseload of 45-58 students with diverse communication needs, providing both direct therapy services and consultative support to educational teams. The structured schedule allows for efficient case management while ensuring consistent, quality service delivery.
Clinical Focus and Student Characteristics Your diverse caseload will include students with speech sound disorders, language impairments, social communication difficulties, and voice disorders. You'll primarily work with students who are self-motivated learners who thrive in virtual environments, though your caseload will also include students requiring more intensive support and specialized intervention approaches. The mixed severity levels provide opportunities for varied therapeutic techniques and professional growth.

Essential Professional Functions
- Conduct comprehensive virtual assessments using standardized evaluation protocols
- Design individualized intervention programs aligned with IEP goals and objectives
- Deliver engaging virtual therapy sessions incorporating evidence-based practices
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams through digital communication platforms
- Complete thorough clinical documentation and progress monitoring reports
- Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility conferences, and transition planning
- Provide professional consultation and training to educational staff
- Maintain compliance with state licensing and continuing education requirements
- Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid Michigan speech-language pathology licensure
- Minimum 2 years of school-based clinical experience
- Virtual therapy experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of special education law and IEP processes
- Experience with bilingual/multicultural student populations beneficial
