Are you passionate about helping others regain independence and improve their quality of life? UPMC Muncy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team full-time. This role offers a consistent schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. , including participation in a weekend and holiday rotation .

About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist at UPMC Muncy, you will provide expert assessment and treatment services to patients across a variety of settings within the Rehabilitation Institute. You’ll work with a diverse patient population and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. This position also offers opportunities to contribute to clinical education and research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Supervise and collaborate with occupational therapy assistants to ensure effective patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare team members regarding patient progress.
• Provide patient and family education, including home exercise programs and care instructions.
• Participate in student supervision and clinical education programs as needed.
• Stay current with licensure requirements through ongoing professional development and continuing education.
• Rotate through various treatment areas to support organizational needs.
• Attend staff meetings and in-service training sessions to stay informed and engaged.
