Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) Home Health

Job Type: Full-Time, 13-Week Contract (with potential extension)
Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Overview:
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a skilled and motivated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week Home Health contract assignment in Tacoma, WA . This is an excellent opportunity to provide individualized therapy in the comfort of patients' homes, working under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT). Candidates should have strong communication skills, clinical knowledge, and the ability to work independently in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy treatments as directed by the supervising OT

• Assist patients with functional tasks, ADLs, and adaptive techniques

• Monitor and document patient progress and communicate updates to the OT

• Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic home programs

• Travel to patient homes within a designated local territory (mileage reimbursed)

• Maintain compliance with home health regulations and documentation standards

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

• Current Washington state COTA license

• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

• Home Health or home visit experience strongly preferred

• Experience with Home Care Home Base (HCHB) EMR is preferred

• Strong time management and interpersonal skills

Compensation & Benefits:

• $30$38/hour , based on experience
