Short-Term Assignment Physical Therapist

We are looking for a Short-Term Assignment Physical Therapist to provide professional physical therapy services to children and young adults. This assignment will support our children in our inpatient units at our Johnston location. This will be a 4-month contract position , with the opportunity to move to permanent placement once the contract has ended.

Benefits

• Flat rate of $60/hour
• $300 per month for individuals located 60 or more miles away from ChildServe
• Flexible, full-time scheduling

What You'll Do

• Plan and prepare individualized, creative, and unique activities to meet each child's individual goals
• Administer appropriate standardized tests/screenings/informal assessments/clinical observations
• Adhere to the plan of care as written
• Provide interpretation and/or counseling of test results to clients/caregivers as well as ongoing feedback regarding progress
• Provide appropriate recommendations, equipment, referrals and/or follow-up for each case
• Assist in the research/development of clinical practices and competencies
• Participate in internal quality assurance and continuous quality improvement activities
• Must meet Child Serve and Child Serve Therapys mandatory education requirements and be willing to attend additional training to improve process and procedures

What You'll Need

• Master's level or higher graduate of an APTA approved physical therapy program and active license in the state of Iowa
• Required : 1+ year pediatric experience
• Preferred : Inpatient experience
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
