Wilshire Home Health currently has clinical openings for a Full-time Occupational Therapist in our San Luis Obispo & Northern Santa Barbara County service areas.

Under the direction of the Director of Patient Care Services, the Occupational Therapist develops and implements a plan for providing rehabilitation home therapeutic treatment as well as education of patients, family members and significant others. This position also coordinates with other home health staff to provide an efficient integration of care.
Skills / Experience
Patient Assessments by applying diagnostic procedures and developing /revising treatment plans.
Treatment planning and therapeutic interventions.
Working with an adult/geriatric population.
CORE PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
Develops the occupational therapy plan and provides skilled occupational therapy under plan.
Performs direct therapy treatments based upon assessments and when, based upon the plan of treatment.
Evaluates the patients' level of function by applying diagnostic and prognostic procedures and helps develop or revise the physician's plan of treatment based upon scientific principles and in accordance with all registration definitions and commonly accepted professional standard of practice.
Manages each visit efficiently in relation to the goals of the care plan.
Demonstrates effective problem solving, good judgment, and confidential handling of sensitive information.
Demonstrates accurate and timely documentation in accordance with established regulations.
Adheres to applicable State and Federal regulations governing home health, and Agency policies and procedures.
Communicates in a professional and courteous manner with patients/families, colleagues, and supervisors.
Qualifications/Requirements
Current registration as an Occupational Therapist from the American Occupational Therapy Association.
A minimum of one years experience as an Occupational Therapist is required.
Experience as an Occupational Therapist in home health is preferred.
Current CPR card required.
