An opportunity has arisen for an experienced candidate to support students in a vibrant K-12 educational environment in Arlington, VA. This position is aimed at providing comprehensive speech and language services to a diverse caseload until the end of the school year.
Location: Arlington, VA Duration: Contract position, full-time, through June 13, 2025
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide treatment for students with speech and language disorders.
- Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to ensure effective implementation of IEPs.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 45 students, encompassing a mix of traditional speech and language students and those in self-contained classrooms.
- Utilize data-driven strategies to monitor student progress and adjust therapy as required.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in SLP or related field.
- Valid state licensure as a SLP.
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
