Staff Respiratory Therapist

POSITION SUMMARY:# Provides routine and advanced respiratory care#procedures to critical and non-critical patients.# EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:; #Minimum Required: Associate Degree in Applied Science in Respiratory Care from an approved school of respiratory therapy technology.# Registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care. BLS, ACLS, PALS and#NRP#are#required; renewals required per requirements.# Possess a valid NC Respiratory Care License. # Preferred:# Bachelors Degree in Respiratory Therapy and previous acute care experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. # ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Incumbent must demonstrate an ability to apply age-appropriate principles of communication and clinical practice relevant to unique needs of neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.# Incumbent must demonstrate competence in the use of equipment and application of procedures before being allowed to perform independently. #
