Hiring School Speech Language Pathologist

Overview:
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for evaluating students, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering speech and language therapy services in accordance with each student’s plan of care and physician’s orders. The SLP collaborates with educators, families, and other professionals to support students’ communication needs and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students referred for assessment.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the IEP team.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and IEP goals.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to meet individual goals.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, parent conferences, and staff development activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school personnel to support student success.
  • Provide training and consultation to school staff and families regarding communication strategies and interventions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including IDEA and Section 504.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all professional matters.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Active and valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of assignment.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; may be required depending on state or contract.
  • Current CPR certification (if applicable).
  • Completion of TB screening (questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray as required).
  • Current health certificate in accordance with state or contract requirements.
  • Must meet all applicable federal, state, and local employment and credentialing requirements.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.


Pay Rate – 60-75 dollars and hour Benefits
