The Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) seeks a dynamic and dedicated individual for a one-year faculty appointment. This position is a non-tenure track role intended to support the department's teaching, service, and student engagement activities for the 2025-2026 academic year. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of the Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) program.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Teach doctorate-level courses in the Occupational Therapy program in accordance with departmental and accreditation standards.
- Mentor and advise occupational therapy students on academic, professional, and clinical matters.
- Participate in departmental meetings, accreditation activities, and ongoing program assessment.
- Contribute to interprofessional education and collaborative initiatives within the College of Health Professions.
- Support and uphold the mission and vision of UTRGV and the Department of Occupational Therapy.

Minimum Qualifications
An earned doctoral degree (e.g., PhD, Ed.D.) or post professional doctorate (e.g. OTD) in occupational therapy from an accredited institution. Licensed or license eligible as an occupational therapist in the state of Texas. Three (3) or more years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist.
