Role Overview and Schedule This full-time remote position involves 35-37.5 hours per week providing virtual speech therapy services to elementary and high school students. You'll manage a caseload of 40-50 students with mixed communication disorders, conducting therapy sessions that combine traditional techniques with innovative digital tools. The flexible scheduling allows for efficient case management while ensuring consistent service delivery to all students. Caseload Characteristics Your diverse caseload will include students with articulation and phonological disorders, language impairments, social communication challenges, and voice disorders. You'll serve both elementary and secondary students, with many cases involving mild to moderate severity levels that respond well to virtual intervention. The mixed age range provides opportunities to utilize varied therapeutic approaches and maintain engaging, developmentally appropriate sessions. Essential Functions Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations using virtual assessment protocols
Design and implement individualized therapy programs aligned with student IEP goals
Deliver engaging virtual therapy sessions using interactive digital materials
Collaborate with school teams, families, and related service providers
Complete thorough documentation and progress monitoring
Participate in IEP development and review meetings
Provide professional consultation and training to educational staff
Maintain compliance with state and federal special education requirements
Required Credentials and Experience Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from accredited institution
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
Current Kentucky speech-language pathology licensure
Minimum 2 years of school-based practice experience
Virtual therapy experience preferred but not mandatory
Knowledge of special education law and IEP processes
Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Technology and Infrastructure Success in this role requires reliable high-speed internet, a professional home office setup, and proficiency with virtual platforms. We provide comprehensive training on our telepractice system and offer ongoing technical support. Experience with digital therapy apps and online assessment tools is advantageous, though we offer extensive resources and professional development opportunities.
