The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Montana State Hospital.

The Clinical Therapy Manager provides oversight, education and training to professionals providing patient treatment to include individual therapy, group therapy, psycho/educational services and therapeutic interventions on and off treatment units at Montana State Hospital. Responsibilities include development, implementation and monitoring of treatment approaches and providing ongoing evaluation and recommendations to ensure high quality delivery of services. The Clinical Therapy Manager is a key member of the Social Services Leadership Team and reports directly to the Director of Social Services.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity

Expert knowledge of clinical treatment techniques for adult psychiatric patients including subgroups of patients with psychotic disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, substance use disorders, patients involved in the criminal justice system, geriatric patients and other mental health disorders.

Understanding of individual and team approaches to treatment and therapy for emotionally disturbed and/or handicapped adults.

Ability to effectively utilize knowledge and skills and apply them to practical assessment and treatment modalities for patients.

Meet minimum qualifications:

Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Professional Counselor (LCPS), Behavioral Analyst Licensure, or Psychologist License in Montana or ability to attain a Montana licensee prior to first day of work required.

Licensed in respective discipline for at least three years.

Five years of work experience as a healthcare clinical manager/supervisor preferred.
