Key Responsibilities

Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results

Therapy Services: Provide individual and group therapy sessions as outlined in students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.

Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom environment. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals.

Professional Development: Stay informed about current trends and best practices in speech-language pathology. Maintain required certifications and licensure.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Current Massachusetts state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is strongly preferred.

Professional license as a Specialist Teacher in the area of Speech, Language, and Hearing Disorders obtained through the Massachusetts Department of Education

Prior clinical or school-based experience providing speech therapy to students

Demonstrated ability to work well in a team and strong communication skills
