WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR FCMC Our Rehabilitation Technicians assist the Therapists and Therapist Assistants in performing rehabilitative services for our patients. Along with that, the Patient Services Representative aspect of this role involves promoting a positive experience for patients in our Rehabilitation Services Clinic. More specifically, some of these vital responsibilities include: Preparing treatment areas and transporting and positioning patients Assisting with the completion of therapy treatment plans Communicating with patients, families, friends, and members of the healthcare team to promote optimal benefits of rehabilitative care Ensuring that needed supplies are available to Therapists and Therapist Assistants Actively participating in ways to improve the program, including providing input into the budgetary planning process, contributing to the cost-effectiveness of services, and establishing and maintaining positive relations with all clients Assisting patients with the check-in process Escorting patients to the right treatment areas Performing routine clerical tasks that support the patient care process Requirements Qualifications: Graduate of a professional training program approved by the American Speech and Hearing Association and Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology Must hold ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology or currently completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). SLP must also maintain current state licensure(s) as per state regulations in which the SLP works Facilitation skills in order to support and work cooperatively with staff, patients, physicians and external parties Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages, and decimals Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Basic typing and keyboarding skills, strong organizational and communication skills, experience with customer service, and familiarity with computers and other office equipment Essential Job Functions: Must provide a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff Must wear PPE as situations require Must comply with HIPAA policies Must submit to COVID-19 testing as required by CMS and other regulatory agencies according to FCMC policy Have full COVID-19 vaccination (some exemptions allowed) Work Environment: FCMC operates 24 hours per day each day of the year: operational needs of departments may require that you be available to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the patients Potential exposure to blood, body tissue and fluids, contagious diseases, and hazardous waste Occasional exposure to bodily injury, loud or unpleasant noise, unpleasant odor, and emotional or physical stress May be required to work day or night in a confined environment or variation of different temperatures The Location: Located in southeast Idaho, Franklin County is surrounded by the beautiful Rocky Mountains, giving ample opportunity for outdoor recreation.
