Physical Therapist Assistant Job Overview:

Attend and contribute to patient care, staffing conferences, and other required meetings as a representative of physical therapy, under the direction of the Physical Therapist.

Ensure adherence to the department's and patient's treatment schedules, timely clinical and billing documentation requirements, and attendance at work-related meetings.

Collaborate with other members of the rehabilitation team to implement programs and activities that align with the needs and capabilities of each patient.

Assist the Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations, andplex procedures

Instruct patients, families, and caregivers on the skills and techniques involved in the physical therapy treatment program, under the supervision of the Physical Therapist

Physical Therapist Assistant Job Qualifications:

Active PTA license in state of practice.

Must have a driver's license or reliable transportation

CPR/BLS certification.

Previous Experience as a PTA is preferred.
