The Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) provides direct patient care under the supervision of the staff physical therapists; coordinates/cooperates with assigned supportive personnel; assists with discharge planning; documents pertinent information with physical therapist supervision; communicates verbally with staff, patients and families; participates in educational activities; supports departmental operations; performs special responsibilities/projects; and supervises attendants and volunteers. Responds to the unique needs of adult and geriatric patients as the need arises.
Must be currently licensed by the Alabama Board of Physical Therapy as an LPTA. Must possess American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
