PTA

Huntington Valley Healthcare Center (a 140 bed skilled nursing facility located in Huntington Beach) is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality, individualized physical therapy services to residents within our skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will support our mission to improve functional mobility, reduce fall risk, and promote independence in our residents.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver physical therapy treatments and interventions in accordance with the plan of care developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate changes in condition or performance to the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in evaluating resident functional levels and documenting findings.
• Instruct and educate residents, caregivers, and staff on proper techniques for mobility, transfers, and exercises.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, care planning, and discharge planning as needed.
• Ensure safety and comfort of all residents during treatment sessions.
• Adhere to infection control procedures, HIPAA regulations, and other facility protocols.

Qualifications:

• Licensure: Must be a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in the state of California and in good standing.
• Education: Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Experience: Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred, but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
