Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is hiring a licensed Physical Therapist to join the team at the Douglas Medical Center in Bolivar, Missouri. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long-term care facilities, and 1 residential care facility. About the department: Equipped with specialized technologies, including Balance Master, VitalStim, and Anodyne, the Rehab Services Department works closely with physicians to provide acute and outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to restore the functional abilities of patients. Emphasis is placed on collaboration and teamwork, and new therapists are encouraged to grow their skills through professional development and mentorship. The department routinely finishes within the 90th percentile or better in the nation for patient satisfaction.

A typical day includes: Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating physical therapy treatments for patients by utilizing equipment, supplies, and procedures appropriate to achieve intended oues.

Identify patients appropriate for rehabilitative therapies

Establish an effective plan of care using appropriate skills for evaluation and screening

Develop and implement treatment plans that lead to optimal patient oues

Communicate effectively with patients, care team members, physicians, and others

Write clear, concise, legible documentation that includes appropriate information for care planning

Job Requirements:

Education: Graduation from an accredited college with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)

Experience: New graduates wee, 1 year of experience preferred

Skills: Problem-solving, planning and time-management, interpersonalmunication, listening skills, basicputer skills, ability to work independently

Licensure/Certification: Licensed by the Missouri Board of Registration for the Healing Arts; Current State of Missouri Physical Therapist License

Physical: Prolonged periods of standing and walking, ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. with patient and/or equipment assistance, ability to carry up to 35 lbs.

The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
