Seeking outpatient physical therapist to fill a 24-hour position in Dover at the main hospital campus.Looking to work for an organization committed to providing high quality patient care and to the professional growth and development of its PT team? Our large physical therapy department consists of clinics ranging from large to small, several with onsite orthopedic surgeons and other physician specialists to facilitate great learning opportunities and cohesive, quality care. Clinical teams range from newer grads to seasoned veterans, many with fellowship training, advanced degrees and certifications in orthopedics, sports, spine, neurology, geriatrics, pelvic health and lymphedema. Many PTs are highly trained in dry needling, running analysis, blood flow restrictive therapy, and lymphedema. Our multidisciplinary team enjoys daily collaboration with occupational therapists, speech therapists, athletic trainers, and physicians to support nearly any patient need.

Job Summary
Responsible for planning and administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs for patients to restore function, relieve pain and prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of body part. They will be responsible for Physical Therapy Student and Physical Therapy Assistants as well as training new staff as needed.Does this position require Patient Care? Yes
Essential Functions:
Establishes therapy goals and formulates a treatment plan based on evaluation results.
-Supervises PTAs according to organization policy and state regulations.
-Provides individual, family and group therapy sessions for clients engaged in outpatient therapy
-Participates in the interdisciplinary group for hospice patients and the case conference meetings for home health patients.
-Participates in discharge planning.
-Provides initial assessment of clinical needs using standardized tools and protocols and facilitate recommendations for treatment.
-Records all pertinent data in the patients medical records.

Doctor of Physical Therapy Physical Therapy required

Licenses and Credentials
Physical Therapist [NH] - Generic - HR Only required Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred
Experience
Experience working as a physical therapist in a hospital, rehab or Ambulatory setting 1-2 years required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems.
- Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
- Teaching others how to do something.
- Excellent problem solving, case management and communication skills.
- Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
