- Collaborates and fosters the relationship between MGB and the nmdp with the goal of increasing the number of PBSC and marrow collection procedures annually
- Coordinates nmdp donor collections and submits timely data using Forms Net
- Provides search coordinator coverage and performs other search related activities as assigned. Requires moderate understanding of HLA typing and matching
- Responsible for initiating and tracking donor HLA testing kits
- Sends requests to the nurse navigation team for related donor interviews
- Manage annual UPOIs with nmdp and affiliated donor centers
- Responsible for nmdp annual survey submissions
- Coordinates and tracks recipient and unrelated donor correspondence
- Monitors and reconciles billing work queues
- Provides coverage for the CTC II coordinator
Job Summary
Summary:
Responsible for playing a critical role in the day-to-day operations of the Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapies programs. They support physicians, advanced practitioners, program nurses, research staff, and processing technologists. They assist in the orchestration of high-risk, highly complex clinical services while adhering to strict industry standards and guidelines set forth by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT), National Marrow Donor Program - BeTheMatch Registry, FDA, and Joint Commission.

Essential Functions:
Responsible for the proper and efficient scheduling of all clinical services in the outpatient and inpatient setting as it relates to the workup, clearance, and collection of related and unrelated donors.
- Acts as the primary contact for clinicians, lab technologists, blood transfusion services staff, quality management staff, as well as multiple workup specialists.
- Collaborates with our solid organ transplant team on combined bone marrow and kidney transplantations.
- Must maintain precise and organized records and have a thorough understanding of the complex documentation and clinical testing required for each donor based on the type of collection requested.
- Obtains medical clearance for collection by providing physicians with test results following detailed schemas and checklists.
- Follows requirements as mandated by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT), Joint Commission (JC), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other regulatory bodies as required.

Associate's Degree Related Field of Study required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Experience:
Experience in patient services or clinical research coordination 1-2 years required or Experience working in a hematologic clinical setting 1-2 years required or Experience in medical assistance training 1-2 years required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of cellular therapy procedures, including stem cell transplantation and CAR T-cell therapies.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage complex patient cases and coordinate with various healthcare professionals.
- Proficiency in using healthcare management software and electronic medical records.
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care and support during complex treatments.
