Tennessee Quality Care is seeking a dedicated SLP to join our fast-growing Home Health Division in Martin/Paris, TN ! This is a MondayFriday 1-2 days a week position with a rotating on-call schedule among staff.

What Youll Do:

  • Conducts appropriate evaluations, assesses home environment (as appropriate), identifies equipment needs relative to speech/language function.
  • Identifies functional speech defects and establishes a plan of care to improve patients function.
  • Administer diagnostic speech and language evaluations and some basic, informal audio logical assessment in accordance with the plan of care
  • Recommends communication devices/aids as indicated.
  • Prepare a report of each clients diagnostic evaluation and make recommendations
  • Advise, consult and teach appropriate procedures and supportive activities to clients, family members, and other agency staff
  • Provide direct speech service to clients under a providers plan of care. Records and reports to the provider the clients response to therapy

Qualifications:

  • Possess certification of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech Language Hearing Association
  • Licensed as a speech therapist in the state in which practicing
  • At least one (1) year of acute care setting or equivalent experience
  • Possess knowledge of principles and practices of speech therapy
  • Complies and maintains current CPR certification.
  • Ability to make home visits and provide nursing care in the home environment
  • Must have reliable transportation, current driver's license, and appropriate automobile insurance
