Speech Language Pathologist

The Summit Center - 2023 and 2024 School of Excellence, as named by the National Association of Special Education Teachers (NASET)

Must be able to consistently and successfully perform all essential functions of the position as outlined in the classroom standards manual.

1. Deliver services as mandated by Individualized Education Plans
2. Create and maintain all required documentation
3. Participate as part of the educational/clinical team for each student
4. Applies best, evidence based, practice methods
5. Demonstrate professional knowledge of children with developmental disabilities
6. Collaborate and effectively communicate with families
7. Track data and make data-based decisions
8. Assess student progress on a regular basis
9. Manage behavioral challenges

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders and/or Sciences or Speech Language Pathology

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: NYS Licensed Speech Language Pathologist; NYS Certified Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH) or NYS Certified Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD)

Pay: From $63,000, sign on bonus available
