About the RoleNorthshore Education Consortium (NEC) is seeking a Physical Therapist to join the multidisciplinary team at the Kevin OGrady School. This role involves evaluating students' physical needs, developing therapeutic interventions, and supporting the effective use of adaptive equipment in the school setting. The ideal candidate will bring compassion, clinical expertise, and a commitment to student-centered care.________________________________________Why This Role MattersThe Kevin OGrady School serves over 100 students with complex needs, including autism, intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, and emotional or behavioral challenges. The Physical Therapist plays a crucial role in helping students access their learning environments and maximize independence by improving mobility, strength, and motor control.________________________________________Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate students' physical therapy needs and develop individualized goals as part of the IEP process.Assess and recommend adaptive equipment and mobility aids to support student functioning.Fit NEC adaptive equipment and train staff in proper and safe usage.Collaborate with clinical teams and classroom staff to support integrated therapy approaches.Participate in wheelchair and orthotic clinics; offer professional input on orthotic interventions.Document student progress and revise therapy plans as necessary.Stay up to date with current research and best practices in physical therapy.Participate in professional development and departmental planning meetings.________________________________________QualificationsBachelors or Masters Degree in Physical Therapy.Massachusetts State License in Physical Therapy.Experience working with students with special needs is preferred.Demonstrated collaboration, flexibility, and problem-solving skills.Ability to provide contact information for professional references.________________________________________Working ConditionsThis position follows the terms outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
