This position focuses on pain management and promoting mobility and health as prescribed by the referring physician. The Physical Therapist is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the plan of care for the individual served. This role performs and directs the administration of all physical therapy modalities. Collaboration is essential throughout the process with the patient and their family, as well as the interdisciplinary team. Good physical condition is required for prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing and walking. The role involves lifting, positioning, and transferring patients and manipulating occupied equipment. The Physical Therapist may lift supplies or equipment up to 50 lbs. Potential strains resulting from lifting heavy patients and equipment should be anticipated. The work environment is clean, well-lit, ventilated, and smoke-free, with potential exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous chemicals. The position requires accountability, skills in assessment and evaluation, decision-making, and time management.
