General Summary:

Assists the Therapists and assistants with daily department operations.

Essential Functions:

• Creates a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Answers bells promptly; adjusts treatment set-ups for patient comfort and safety.
• Demonstrates knowledge of assembling and disassembling treatments.
• Closely monitors patient during treatments and promptly notifies therapist of patient discomfort or any malfunctioning equipment.
• Demonstrates initiative by utilizing free time to complete the following: helping co-workers complete their work; stock the linen; put away supplies.
• Maintaining work area clean and orderly, including supply closets.
• Obtains and maintains equipment, materials and supplies.
• Cleans all P.T. equipment as outlined in departmental/hospital policy and procedure manual.
• Assists with secretarial responsibilities as deemed necessary.
• Maintains professional composure and confidence during stressful situations.
• Maintains open commuication using appropriate chain of command regarding issues.
