Join Amazon's Disability Leave Services (DLS) team in building a world-class program delivering leave of absence, disability, and accommodation services globally. As a Clinical Case Manager, you'll serve as a vital medical and mental health resource, managing complex cases and ensuring optimal outcomes for both employees and the organization. This role will provide clinical expertise and serve as a critical link between leaves case managers and Accommodation specialist involved in disability and accommodation cases. This role will facilitate medically sound decisions from a clinical perspective, ensure absence and disability claims are administered optimally, and deliver exceptional employee experience. Key component in this role is strong self-management skills, a desire to knowledge share and an ability to translate medical consultation into favorable results for the company and employees.

Required Qualifications:
Be a Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD)
2+ years medical advisory experience in occupational health, worker compensation, disability, health case management, or utilization review.
3+ years clinical work experience

Good to Have:
3+ years disability management experience (STD/LTD claims)
Knowledge of FMLA, ADAAA, EEOC, OFCCP regulations
Utilization review experience
CCM or CDMS certification
Experience in large organizational settings

Key job responsibilities
Clinical Expertise & Case Management
Provide expert medical evaluations and clinical services across the DLS organization
Serve as clinical subject matter expert for disability, leave and accommodation case managers
Conduct clinical analyses focusing on functional impairment and work capacity assessment
Co-manage complex medical and behavioral health claims requiring specialized clinical expertise
Perform provider interviews and analyze clinical documentation
Develop and negotiate return-to-work plans with stakeholders

Collaboration & Partnership
Partner with case managers to optimize case management processes and outcomes
Build and maintain relationships with treating providers to:
Clarify clinical information
Understand recommended restrictions and limitations
Assess functional impairment severity
Facilitate return-to-work planning
Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare providers at all levels

Professional Development & Process Improvement
Deliver continuing education through mini-clinical lectures on behavioral health case management
Contribute to the development of clinical tools, templates, and protocols
Support process improvements under Clinical leadership guidance

Core Competencies
Exercise independent judgment and critical thinking skills
Manage complex cases with minimal supervision
Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities
Maintain precise documentation and attention to detail

Travel Requirements
Up to 10% domestic and/or international travel

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in psychology or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications

The base pay for this position ranges from $57,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $123,800/year in our highest geographic market.
