Job Description
Your expertise as a Speech Language Pathologist is sought for a full-time position in a supportive high school environment. This role focuses on providing tailored communication support to students, facilitating their educational growth and social development.
Qualifications:
- Current Illinois State License as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Professional Education License (PEL)
- Experience working with high school students, particularly in special education
- Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
Location:
Carmel, IN
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other professionals
- Provide direct therapy to a caseload of approximately 50 to 70 students
- Support nonverbal life skills students alongside another Speech Language Pathologist
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and documentation as required by the state
- Engage in professional development and participate in staff meetings and training
