At our community-rooted outpatient clinic, youll work one-on-one with children of all ages and developmental stages. Responsibilities

Evaluate and Develop Therapy Plans: Conduct speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing evaluations tailored to each childs developmental needs.

Provide Direct Intervention: Use play-based, evidence-informed techniques to support communication, articulation, and expressive/receptive language growth.

Collaborate with Families and Care Teams: Educate caregivers on carryover strategies, and work closely with occupational and physical therapists, educators, and physicians.

Track Progress: Document session outcomes and therapy milestones, adjusting treatment goals based on clinical progress and family input.

Advocate for Communication Access: Empower families with tools, AAC knowledge, and resources to promote success across home, school, and community settings.

Education

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Clinical fellowship applicants (CFs) welcome and encouraged to apply!

Certifications

Texas State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) .

Certificate of Clinical Competence ( CCC-SLP ) from ASHA preferred or in progress.

CPR certification required.

What Youll Be Doing

As a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist , your day begins with connection. A peekaboo smile from a toddler hesitant to engage. A wave from a kindergartener who used to hide behind their parent. A confident Hi! from a teen who, just a few months ago, was too unsure to speak in a group.

In our clinic, your therapy space might include puzzles, puppets, flashcards, bubbles, and an ever-growing stash of sticker charts. Youll shape your sessions around each childs goalsand each familys hopes. Whether helping a nonverbal child explore alternative communication or guiding a school-age student through social language scenarios, your work will stretch across age, ability, and personality.

Youll collaborate closely with our pediatric occupational and physical therapists, trading notes, celebrating breakthroughs, and making plans to approach each childs growth holistically.
