Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Diagnostic Imaging Medical Director, the Director of Diagnostic Imaging, the incumbent performs consistently optimum quality diagnostic mammographic exams. The incumbent processes images, documents service performed, makes adjustments and minor repairs on equipment. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum experience required if graduated from program with dual certification in RadiologicTechnology and Mammography.
- Experience with a variety of imaging equipment: pacs, Film Digitizers Densitometry for QC, PC's with windows, experience with General Electric equipment preferred.
Education:
- Graduation from an AMA certified school of radiology technology.
Licensure:
- Current California state license in radiologic technology ARRT Certified
Current Mammography license Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for health care workers.
Job Specifications:
Thorough understanding of basic anatomy, fluoroscopic and radiographic procedures. Must be well-versed in radiographic/mammographic positioning, proper equipment usage and radiation safety, Must be knowledgeable of technical factors. Responsible for assessment, treatment and care of patients of all ages. Understanding of current MQSA responsibilities of documentation and quality control.
