Recreation Specialist (SL)

PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT: Camp Dearborn in Milford, Michigan

HOURS/PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT:

Seasonal; April thru November - 24 hour/7 Day Operation. Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Time off during this period is extremely limited.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Installs, repairs, and maintains building materials in and on facilities at Camp Dearborn.
• Orders and maintains parts, supplies and equipment.
• Responds to and/or resolves inquires and problems from customers.
• Works outdoors in extreme heat, rain or other unfavorable weather.
• Assists with records and reports; maintains materials; records; equipment and supplies; inventories.
• Performs hands-on maintenance and repair tasks as required.
• May be assigned additional duties and responsibilities related to the operation of a recreation facility.
• Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships.
• Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING/LICENSING REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

• Two to three years of related experience

NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Valid State of Michigan driver's license

POST OFFER REQUIREMENTS: Satisfactory completion of criminal history, physical, and a drug screen that tests for illegal drugs as defined by the Federal Drug Free Workplace Act but not those legalized under Michigan law
