Occupational Therapist (OT) Location: Westgate Gardens Care Center - Visalia, CA Status: Full-Time / Part-Time / Per Diem Pay: Competitive Westgate Gardens Care Center is currently hiring a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. We are a premier skilled nursing facility focused on restoring quality of life for our residents through innovative and personalized therapy services. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate residents within 24 hours of physician referral; document any delays clearly. Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans with physician approval. Deliver direct OT services and support patients in regaining independence in daily living. Supervise and collaborate with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs). Provide training for staff on therapeutic approaches and restorative care. Maintain accurate documentation including evaluations, daily notes, and progress updates. Assist with discharge planning, including caregiver education and durable medical equipment recommendations. Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment by maintaining proper equipment and practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy. Active OT license in the State of California (in good standing). Experience with documentation systems such as Casamba or PointClickCare preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
