Massage Therapist

The Massage Therapist provides massages and other hygienic/therapeutic treatments to clients. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation's policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.Position RequirementsEach position has varying minimum qualifications. In the absence of fully qualified candidates, some requirements may be waived.Education/Experience:Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.High school diploma or equivalent required.Must possess a current NY state license in massage therapy. Maintain license during employment, responsible for renewal of license.One (1) to three (3) years of experience or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are required.Possess well-developed customer service techniques and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients. Language Skills and Reasoning Ability:Must possess excellent communication skills.Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner. Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to massage, handle, and feel.Must be able to work with spa products and equipment.Light lifting.Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino/hotel for extended periods of time.Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.Minimum Salary: 8.75Maximum Salary: 13.60Salary Unit: Hourly
