Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Located in a supportive educational environment in Brockton, MA, this role offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team in providing essential speech services to a middle school student. The position focuses on addressing the unique communication needs of a 14-year-old student with ASD and Down Syndrome through a home-based approach. Qualifications: Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a focus on pediatric populations Experience working with students with diverse needs, particularly those with ASD and Down Syndrome Proficient in providing AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) consultations Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to develop tailored speech service plans Responsibilities: Provide individualized speech-language services to the student, assessing and addressing their communication goals Collaborate with caregivers and educational staff to ensure consistent support across settings Implement effective strategies and techniques to enhance the student's expressive and receptive language skills Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and progress made Schedule and conduct sessions 2-3 hours per week, spread over 3-4 days Location: Based in Brockton, MA, serving one student in a homebound setting Benefits: Flexible scheduling options to accommodate professional and personal commitments Supportive work environment focused on student success This position is set to commence immediately and will extend at least through the summer and into the fall of 2025.
