The Department of Human Services is seeking an independent, motivated Licensed Occupational Therapist to join us at Norristown Sate Hospital. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Licensed Occupational Therapist, you will help empower patients' participation in meaningful activities through health promotion, lifestyle modification, and psychosocial rehabilitation. Your duties will include conducting standardized occupational therapy and other assessments, designing and implementing an intervention plan, and documenting progress and outcomes. In this position, you will assist individuals in developing basic functional skills or retraining and strengthening their existing skills. You can expect to develop strategies and interventions to assist patients in overcoming present barriers to participating in valued roles and occupations that promote individual recovery.
