Job Description
Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.Position:Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Location: Aberdeen, Washington Overview:We're hiring a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school district. As an integral part of our team, you'll assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in students, fostering effective communication skills and academic success. Responsibilities: Evaluates, identifies, and delivers services to students eligible for speech-language impairments, in accordance with eligibility criteria. Collaborates with professionals and parents to integrate speech and language goals into both classroom and home settings, ensuring effective communication. Adheres to all federal, state, and local protocols and regulations governing speech-language pathology services. Demonstrates proper language usage, both orally and in written form, serving as a model for students and colleagues. Maintains accurate and comprehensive records, promptly filing reports as required. Exhibits precise and current knowledge of subject matter, integrating designated curriculum effectively. Identifies students with speech and language disorders through thorough evaluation, analyzing their communication skills during the identification process. Offers consultative services to teachers, parents, administrators, and allied agencies, ensuring seamless integration of speech and language goals across educational settings. Evaluates and reports on student progress, determining the need for continuation or termination of services. Collaborates with school administration and coordinators to plan, coordinate, and implement the speech/language pathology program within the overall educational framework.
