Our district consists of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
Responsible for identifying students with communication needs; planning and implementing appropriate research based treatment to minimize adverse impact on student's success; and providing education and direction to school staff, family and related service providers regarding the student's communication needs. Start date: September 2, 2025 (with 2 days for training/set up/onboarding the week before)
FTE: 1.0
Contract: September 2 - December 19, 2025 (with 2 days potential additional days for training/set up/onboarding the week before), 7:30am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday.
Requirements & Qualifications
Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field from an ASHA accredited university is required. MN Educational Speech Language Pathologist license is required. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CF) is preferred. Prior experience as a Speech Language Pathologist is preferred.
Salary & Benefits
Wages: Long-Term Substiute Certified Staff Rate with appropriate Certification (Tier 3 of 4 in correct area and/or OFP) from PELSB: $249.55/day. $175/day with short-call substitute license only.
Benefits: Available but with Full-time (1.0 FTE) district contribution for fully certified SLP. No benefits available with short-call substitute license. Earned Safe and Sick Time (ESST) will be provided as required by law for either license type.
