Why does the job exist?
This position will provide Respiratory Therapy to inpatients and outpatients at Miner's Colfax Medical Center to include evaluation, treatment, and care for patients with breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders while practicing under the direction of a physician.
How does it get done?
This position will monitor blood gas values, will perform EKG's and Pulmonary Function Testing.
Who are the customers?
Patients, staff, miners and the community.
Ideal Candidate
Experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a medical setting. CRT and/ or RRT preferred.
Minimum Qualification
Associate degree from a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) School and two (2) years of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field above licensure requirements and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience. State Licensure in good standing as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
Employment Requirements
Must successfully pass a background check.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in a hospital setting, long hours of standing, walking, bending must be able to lift/ move a minimum of 50lbs, may be required to work evenings, weekends, holiday and shift work, may be required to work between two facilities.
