Salary Range: $44,518-$82,959 (contract in the negotiation process) Benefits: The district contributes toward premiums for health, dental and life insurance coverage. East Grand Forks, MN is a city with a population of approximately 9,000 and located in the heart of the Red River Valley in Northwest Minnesota. It borders Grand Forks, ND and is very close to the University of North Dakota and Northland Community and Technical College. The district's K-12 enrollment is approximately 1950 students as well as a thriving preschool program. The district has four separate school buildings housing grades PreK-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12. Position Summary: The School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders that impact their educational performance. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the SLP develops and implements individualized therapy plans, collaborates with teachers and families, and ensures compliance with state and federal regulations. The SLP plays a critical role in supporting student success by improving communication skills essential for learning, social interaction, and overall academic achievemenet. Essential Duties: The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for conducting comprehensive evaluations to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students. They develop and implement individualized education plan (IEP) goals and provide direct therapy services tailored to each student's needs. The SLP collaborates with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to support students' communication development in the classroom. They also monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, participate in IEP meetings, and ensure compliance with all relevant educational and clinical regulations. Additionally, the SLP provides consultation and training to staff on strategies for supporting students with communication challenges. Key Responsibilities: Conduct evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders that affect educational performance. Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with measurable goals based on assessment results and student needs. Provide direct therapy services to students in individual or group settings, using evidence-based practices. Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student learning and integrate communication strategies in the classroom. Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals and adjust interventions as needed. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to determine eligibility, review progress, and support educational planning. Maintain compliance with state regulations, including timely and accurate documentation, reporting, and adherence to ethical standards. Qualifications: Required: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program Current Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) Speech-Language Pathologist license (or eligibility to obtain) Preferred: Strong knowledge of speech and language development, assessment tools, and evidence-based therapy techniques Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families Experience with special education procedures, including IEP development and compliance, is preferred Application Process: Interested candidates should apply on-line through the Frontline, by going to the EGF Human Resources page of the district's website (egf.k12.mn.us) and complete the application process.
