Summary of Job Duties: The Respiratory Care Manager is a professional Registered Respiratory Care practitioner who leads under the direction of the Respiratory Care Director. The Respiratory Care Manager is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily operations of the respiratory department, including patient care and clinic/unit business processes. As part of the UAMS Respiratory Care leadership team, Respiratory Care Manager provides expertise as a consultant, educator, clinician, and role model promoting the development of professional standards and improvement of quality patient care.Qualifications: Required
Bachelors degree in Respiratory Care
3 or more years of Respiratory Care experience
Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license
Must hold a current Arkansas Licensed Respiratory Therapy Practitioner (LRCP)
Preferred
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Adult Critical Care Specialty in Respiratory Care (ACCS)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Special knowledge, abilities and skills:
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Microsoft Word and Excel
Employees in this role must be fitted for, capable of donning and performing routine tasks in personal protective equipment to include N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) or Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR).
