Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist Location: Private School in Newtown, Bucks County Schedule: Full-Time (Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4 pm) with an extended school year (ESY) At Potential Inc. , we believe in the power of Potential - specifically, the potential within every individual with Autism. We are seeking a Licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) who will be responsible for applying the principles of Behavior Analysis to treat students who have difficulties with auditory comprehensive and expressive communication. Responsibilities include: Conducting Assessments : Evaluate students for speech and communication disorders, including swallowing difficulties, and create personalized treatment plans based on their unique needs. Creating and Implementing IEPs : Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to design and execute goal-oriented Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that address each student's specific goals. Therapy Sessions : Lead both 1:1 and group therapy sessions , focusing on personalized care, skill development, and measurable progress for each student. Collaboration : Participate in IEP meetings, working closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to ensure the best outcomes for each student. AAC Expertise : Provide support for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems, including assessments, troubleshooting, and recommendations tailored to each student's needs. Documentation and Reporting : Write clear, detailed progress reports and maintain accurate records for each student to track their journey and growth. Skills Empathetic and supportive attitude towards students Strong listening, oral, and written communication skills Ability to create professional relationships with students Demonstrates a solid understanding of the environment in which students are being assessed and seeking assistance. Flexible, open to feedback and learning, adaptable to change Self-confidence/perseverance/strong work ethic - remain positive and maintain progress toward a goal in spite of obstacles and adversity Ability to organize and act on several activities concurrently Most importantly, we want someone who is dedicated to our mission and values - someone who understands the role that speech-language therapy plays in achieving positive outcomes for the students we serve. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid Pennsylvania licensure ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Compensation & Benefits: This role offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $80,000, reflecting your experience and the value you bring to our mission.
