The COTA Certified Occupational Therapist Assistantprovides direct rehab care in occupational therapy to residentsupon physician referral under the supervision of a licensedOccupational Therapist (OT) in accordance with all applicable laws,regulations, and Schulenburg Regency Standards. Liaisons withpatients, families, support departments, etc., to adequately planfor patient needsKnowledgeable of practices and procedures as wellas the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in thepost acute care facilityImplement and interpret the programs,goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of thedepartmentPerform proficiently in all competency areas includingbut not limited to: patient rights, and safety andsanitationMaintains professional working relationships with allassociates, vendors, etc.Maintains confidentiality of allproprietary and/or confidential informationDisplays integrity andprofessionalism by adhering to Schulenburg Regency's Code ofConduct and completes required in-service trainings.EssentialFunctions:Follow occupational treatment plans for patients underthe direction of the supervising OTChart appropriately andtimelyUtilize therapy software appropriately and accuratelyExhibitexcellent customer service and a positive attitude towardsresidentsDemonstrate dependable, regular attendanceConcentrate anduse reasoning skills and good judgmentCommunicate and functionproductively on an interdisciplinary teamRequirements:Graduate ofan accredited program in occupational therapy (ASOT)Currentlyregistered/licensed in applicable State. Must maintain an activelicense in good standing throughout employment.One (1) yearexperience in post acute care or related setting preferredCPRcertification upon hire or obtain during orientation.
