Start Date 08/04/2025 Open Date 05/15/2025 Closing Date ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Serves as a resource to school staff members in the development of a balanced program for oral communication and speech improvement Assists and guides teachers in observing, describing, and referring students suspected and identified for speech and language impairments Provides a thorough assessment and identification of speech, voice, fluency and language impairments Provides screening to identify children with hearing, speech, and language difficulties at state-required intervals and at other specified times Assists in the proper referral of individuals to agencies and specialists as determined by law Provides appropriate, individualized programs of therapy to meet individual students' needs and correct existing disabilities in speech or language Collaborates with classroom teachers and other school staff members to implement therapy by providing suggestions for the students' daily activities Participates with the multi-disciplinary team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of individual education plans, 504 plans, and Response to Intervention programs. Will select, develop, and utilize appropriate instructional materials, including adaptive equipment and technologies Will assist in the ongoing development of the speech-language program, including curriculum, community activities, parent involvement, in-service training, etc. Provides information, support, and training to parents, families, and care agencies, when appropriate Maintains satisfactory attendance Complies with Corporation Bylaws, Policies, and the Employee Handbook LICENSE: Valid Indiana License in Speech Pathology Additional Job Information DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION: Until Filled Shelbyville Central Schools has on online application process.
