This contract position is located in Brockton, MA, and is aimed at supporting a 14-year-old student with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Down Syndrome. The role requires a dedicated approach to facilitate communication and learning through tailored speech and language interventions.

Qualifications:

• Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a focus on pediatric populations
• Experience working with students with special needs, particularly those with ASD and Down Syndrome
• Proficient in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement them effectively
• Knowledge of best practices in speech therapy and related services

Location:

Responsibilities:

• Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for speech and language disorders
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to the student's needs
• Consult on AAC devices and support the student in using them effectively
• Collaborate with parents, educators, and other professionals to enhance the students communication skills
• Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and progress
• Schedule and conduct therapy sessions 2-3 hours per week, spread over 3-4 days
